Balanco Trio - Ritmo Bossa Balanco (1965)

Hello, good evening! I had those kinds of days that you wake up early in the morning and start doing several things with no stops. Meetings outside, phone calls, reports, and all sort of appointments. It seems that 2008 has finally started in Brazil. I feel really tired, but I like these days, they bring lucky and that what happened today when I left a building and found this album for the really affordable price of R$ 3,00, a record that I was searching for almost a year. Let’s see.

This is Balanco Trio – Ritmo… Bossa… Balanco (1965), for Imperial. Different from regular Imperial albums, this is not an Odeon reissue, but a career album by this fantastic instrumental trio that delivers Samba Jazz music such like the best albums recorded by Milton Banana, which is probably the excellent drummer of Balanco Trio. I have been searching for personnel information on this album with another enthusiast of Balanco Trio, Joe Carter. Unfortunately, we could not confirm any musician in this session. It is already available at Loronix Preview Center track 01 – Aleluia, which is enough to make run for Balanco Trio. By the way, I would like to dedicate this post to the great Joe Carter. Tracks include:

01 – Aleluia (Edu Lobo / Ruy Guerra)
02 – Consolação (Baden Powell / Vinicius de Moraes)
03 – Maria Ninguém (Carlos Lyra)
04 – Vivo Sonhando (Tom Jobim)
05 – Reza (Edu Lobo / Ruy Guerra)
06 – Garota Moderna (Jair Amorim / Evaldo Gouveia)
07 – Balanço Zona Sul (Tito Madi)
08 – Nuvens (Durval Ferreira / Maurício Einhorn)
09 – Telefone (Roberto Menescal / Ronaldo Bôscoli)
10 – Minha Namorada (Carlos Lyra / Vinicius de Moraes)
11 – Berimbau (Baden Powell / Vinicius de Moraes)
12 – Nós e o Mar (Roberto Menescal / Ronaldo Bôscoli)

This is Balanco Trio – Ritmo… Bossa… Balanco (1965), at Loronix,  Hope uEnjoy!

Zeca, impossivel deixar de concordar com voce. 99,975% de certeza que é o Milton Banana.

Thanks for the dedication. This recording remains one of my favorites. The search continues for the musicians…

the not-so-great Joe Carter

Pode-se reforçar a idéia de que seja MB também pelo uso do nome “Balanço”: ele fez a famosa série “Balançando” vol 1, 2, 3…

I remember this from October 2006:
I just realized that I forgot to post a comment then, so a BIG belated thank you.
I think we discussed it on the old Loronix forums, though.

Joe, did Raffaelli ever offer an opinion?

Acredito também que seja o Milton Banana. A batida é a cara dele. Quem serão os outros componentes? Diga-se de passagem todos de muita categoria.

Thanks, Zeca, good music.

You may want to mention in your post that archive in new reposting is encoded at 320, with link to your first posting of it (October 04, 2006) indicating that the archive linked in the older post is encoded at 192, for readers interested in smaller file/quicker download.

Thanks for the hint, primocoe, and thanks also for the great work you are doing on correcting several album’s track listings. I use to overwrite the old post when an upgrade is made, such like this one. I forgot this time. Perhaps I’m getting old for this.

Вalanço Trio – Ritmo… Вossa… Вalanço (1965) | PARALLEL REALITIES STUDIO

[…] The first folder out of three of the Pedro & 300 discos package has finally finished transferring to my PC. Inside I found both career albums by Вalanço Trio. I have chosen to post as first the one from 1965 which has, by the way, already been presented on Loronix. I made this decision as it gives me the opportunity to point to Zeca‘s original text (instead of writing my own) about this mysterious trio which can be found, re-printed, on Órfãos do Loronix. […]
