Moacyr Silva - Dançando Com Você Nr. 3

This repost address several issues, such as the cover artwork scans update, the music (now including the missing track 09 – Tudo ou Nada) improved by a new transfer and the FLAC option was added, but what is most important about this post is to introduce Moacyr Silva to the great number of new friends that joined Loronix in 2008. Moacyr Silva was not released this year and this is a nice opportunity to update this album and bring back this great artist to the front page. I’m retrieving the original writing. Let’s see.

Original text:

Hello, Good Evening! Everyday I blame myself on skip the image processing class when I was at school. I have a great problem on using image-processing software to make clean covers (2008: thanks to Mr. E., I’m now a quite skilled parrot on this subject). When I get a nice cover such as this one opening this post I feel very frustrated of not knowing how to remove marks, clean surface, among other tasks. In this example, I’m really mad with that circle mark made by the record living inside the envelop in the last 48 years. I hope to have this skill someday. Anyway, this cover is really magnificent and the music, at the same level. Let’s see what we have here.

This is Moacyr Silva e Seu Conjunto – Dancando com Voce Nr. 3 (1959), for Copacabana, another above of the average Moacyr Silva album, accompanied by “Conjunto” featuring his preferred pianist Chaim Lewack. Such like “Sax Sensacional”, “Dancando com Voce” is a series of records that started in 1956 with the first one on 10-inch format, the first Moacyr Silva LP, ending with “Dancando com Voce Nr. 4, released just before Nr. in 1959. This record was found on a very bad condition and some noise occurs (2008: the noise remains, but with great improvement and do not spoils this nice album). Loronix engineers failed on getting track 09, a big scratch made this track unplayable (2008: track 09 is now available). Tracks include:

Moacyr Silva incomparavel!

Heeey Zeca…I loooove this cover so much, such vivid colors, the clothes, the room, the furniture, the attitude of the people, the look on the girl’s face on the left, the couple sitting closely together on the couch: oh boy, the reason I love the artwork of this time period–and the music, of course!!

For the blemishes, I have to say I love them also. Besides all the things I mentioned above, it’s these blemishes and marks and faults which remind us that this is something which is 50 years old, has a lot of character, and still has much worth and valor today!

Thanks for this and again, for all you do!

Você teria como postar o albúm do saxofonista onde ele interpreta músicas de Cole Porter.
Abraços anônimos.
