Hello, good evening! This is my tribute to the centenary of a singer never mentioned before at Loronix, but of extreme importance for Brazilian popular music, Mario Reis, considered the most original singer in the 30’s for his gentle singing style, which thirty years later had influenced Bossa Nova. Take in consideration that in the 30’s, it was necessary to sing very loud to address the shortcomings of the microphones, still rudimentary.
Mario Reis abandoned his singing career very early at the end of the 30’s and most of his albums were recorded in 78 rotations between the 20’s and 30’s. This is the last album recorded by Mario Reis and I’m really fascinated by his voice and his interpretation. I’m looking for some of Mario Reis recordings in 78RPM, they are probably amazing. Meanwhile, I invite you to know a great and probably unknown singer for many Loronix’s friends. Let’s see.
