This release should please and take by surprise several fans of Burnier and Cartier at Loronix. Barbara Burnier, daughter of Octavio Burnier, which I had the chance to meet here, also awaits this release. I hope to make the day of several friends with this record.Meet Don Burrows – Don Burrows and The Brazilian Connection (1977), for EMI. Don Burrows is an Australian sax player that invited Burnier and Cartier to tour around in several cities. During their stay in Australia, they record this LP on a live presentation at Sydney Opera House. This album received several awards in Australia and it is considered one of the best Don Burrows record.Thanks Caetano Rodrigues for this release. Don Burrows has some affairs with Brazilian music and recorded another LP with Luiz Bonfa, uncle of Octavio Burnier. Just a piece of advice, Don Burrows and The Brazilian Connection is a double album that could fit only in three separate files. Thanks so much for organizing and posting this wonderful rarity. And in such superb quality.
One small point: the songs are in the wrong order.
According to the somewhat confusing cover, the side with Insensatez, Aventura Espacial (misspelled on the cover) and Lembrando Ed Klieger is Side 4. Therefore those should be tracks 17-19, ending the album with the high-energy epic that is Ed Kleiger.
While I don’t mind the six tracks without Burnier e Cartier, I frankly think it makes a stronger album — and one that fits on a si ngle CD — to omit them. That cheesy string synthon songs like Insensatez (another typo on the cover) threatens to send the whole thing into tacky territory.
On the other hand, the real strings on the B-C songs are magnificent. I adore this version of Recreio, which is my absolute favourite song of the moment.
By the way, I discovered that a nice version Recreio and another B-C song appear on Zizi Possi’s album Pedaço de Mim from 1979, on which Burnier is the musical director.
Thanks again for opening my eyes to Burnier e Cartier.

This was a double LP with alltogether 19 tracks as you can see in the back
cover and in the comments above. Unfortunaly the La Cintas link presents only 17 tracks, “Parte Capital (3:18)” and “Ficaram Nus 2:52” are missing.
Has anyone the missing tracks from the original Loronix link?
