Caetano’s last contributions are really wonderful, they are giving us the chance to get in touch with new artists performing the music that we like most, the music from Brazil. The albums are great and the quality of digital files is always perfect. Among the last Caetano’s international releases, this one is really special, shows a Jazz legend never released before at Loronix and a Brazilian guitarist, also being presented here for the first time. Let’s check.

This is Lee Konitz & The Brazilian Band – Brazilian Raphsody (1993), for Music Master, featuring the sax alto of Lee Konitz and Romero Lubambo on acoustic guitar, also featuring Duduka da Fonseca (drums), Peggy Stern, a pianist that made another Brazilian flavored album with Lee Konitz, Dave Finck (bass) and Waltinho Anastacio (percussion). Romero Lubambo really makes the difference on Brazilian Raphsody, which is a truly awesome blending of Jazz with Samba. Special attention to the beautiful Lubambo guitar on Manha de Carnaval, worth the entire album. Tracks include:

01 – Samba Triste
02 – Berimbau
03 – Menina Moca
04 – Triste
05 – Felicidade (featuring Adela Dalto)
06 – Lunasea
07 – Manha de Carnaval
08 – Insensatez

Thanks Caetano for Lee Konitz & The Brazilian Band – Brazilian Raphsody (1993), at Loronix.

Hope uEnjoy!
