Hello, Good Evening! One of the favorites Caetano Rodrigues musicians is back to Loronix, Izio Gross, a widely unknown artist in Brazil, but an acclaimed musician overseas, especially in German, the country were he lives and made most part of his discography.

This is Izio Grosss y Su Ritmo – Bossa Nova in Rhythm (no date), for Kubaney. I have been searching for info about this album with no success. Caetano says that Bossa Nova in Rhythm was recorded in Mexico and he is right since Kubaney is a Mexican record label. I’ve been searching also at Izzio Gross official website and among several itens on his discography, this one is not listed. I think it should be listed; this is one of the best Izio Gross albums I have heard with vivid Samba Jazz renditions of Bossa Nova standards. Tracks include:

I have been with this record for a while and it is so good and so hard to find that you will blame it zecalouro for not making it earlier. This is a very old Caetano Rodrigues contributions and I’m glad that Caetano remember it on a phone call yesterday.

This is Izio Gross – Noa Noa (1998), for Mix House. Noa Noa is a very hard to find out of print CD recorded in South Africa by the Brazilian Maestro Izio Gross that features Airto Moreira and Jose Neto. This is the second Izio Gross album at Loronix and I was surprised to know with this CD that Izio Gross released several records while outside Brazil. I’m not talking about a few CDs, but more than ten albums on a solid international career. Tracks include:

I was missing Caetano Rodrigues rarities from the 60’s, the impossible to find and never heard before LPs. It is really exciting to hear something old, rare and unique for the fist time from an artist that you have only heard about. Thanks Caetano for another nice release. I took this one for a hearing and had a lot of fun with zecalouro today. Let’s check together.

This is Izio Gross e Seu Conjunto – Isto e Bossa (60’s), for Mocambo. Probably, you have never heard about Izio Gross before, Izio Gross is a Brazilian pianist, arranger that played with several renowned artists in the early sixty before leaving the country to an three year contract as a big band leader in Argentina. You will have guaranteed entertainment with this record that features Edison Machado on drums among others. Tracks include:
