Hello, good evening! This is the second appearance of Tom & Dito at Loronix. The first was a long time ago, in the very first beginning, one of the first albums made available here. Unfortunately, the first album is no longer available, and it was a very successful release. I had the idea to show this album when I received today a message from Thomas Fawcett, which is the owner and maintainer of a new website devoted to the music from Brazil from the 1970’s, Brazil Soul Power.

I would like to take Thomas’ introductory words and his enthusiastic definition of Brazil Soul Power. And I would like also to say that another Brazilian music resource is about to go live in less than 72 hours with full coverage at Loronix. Stay tuned and let’s read Thomas value proposition. This is Tom & Dito – Reverterio (1976), for Continental. Little I know about this album and this Duo, but they are backed by the best of breed Brazilian musicians of that time, including a surprising participation of the legendary Moacyr Silva at personnel listing and other really important musicians, such like: Mauricio Einhorn, Raymundo Bittencourt, Gilson Peranzzetta, Aurino, Helcio Milito, Marcio Montarroyos and many others. Thanks the calendar is Friday. A shine weekend is about to come with the sun up and the sky blue. As a matter of fact, it is wintertime in Rio de Janeiro.Taking advantage of this spirit, zecalouro is on the right mood to make a relaxed and uncompromised post, showing two cool dudes from the early 70’s, Tom & Dito, with a nice madness mix called Obrigado Corcovado — Thanks Corcovado — (1971).This record is a blend of Funk, Samba, Soul, Regional, Rock and Bossa that remembers the early works of Jorge Ben, Trio Mocoto! (getting famous here), Antonio Carlos & Jocafi and Tim Maia. A wonderful record that does not sounds old but nice and lively on a very good 320Kbps quality.

As zecalouro said, it is Friday. Maybe it is too late to kick around the house with Tom & Dito, so get it to Saturday and save your day.
