If you understand this cover artwork you will understand this LP. Look how Elizeth Cardoso is relaxed and dressing simple clothes on that picture. It seems like she just wake up, took the first thing she saw at her closet and quickly left to this photo session.
That’s exactly the spirit of this record, a relaxed Elizeth Cardoso, not using all of her voice and that vibratos that we are use to listen, she sings Samba on an authentic way, such like on a meeting with friends on a bar to drink some beers. I don’t know what Elizeth had in mind with this LP, probably a transition from the new decade or perhaps just an album that we wanted to make with Sambas together with her friends.
This is Elizeth Cardoso – Falou e Disse (1970), for Copacabana, directed by Moacyr Silva and featuring a top-notch team that should go better with highlights bellow, before tracks.
