Hello, Good Evening! Some albums you buy only by the cover. Sometimes you get a little bit frustrated when you get home and see that you purchase a beautiful cover and bad music. This is not the case, Luiz Roberto is an obscure singer that I could not find any information about and he sings Samba on top of Bossa Nova in the background. I bought it today for a real bargain with my friend Flavio Samello, a cool Loronixer from Sao Paulo that came to Rio. Flavio has a website and made some photos with zeca available there, don’t miss it, here and here.

This is Luiz Roberto – Velha Guarda em Bossa Nova (1960), for Continental. As far as I could search, Luiz Roberto released only this LP and made some participation on TV Globo novel OSTs in the early 70’s. I’ve been wondering today if Luiz Roberto from Os Cariocas and this Luiz Roberto are the same person. This is something that is up to you to research. Tracks include:
